History
Zamek Łeba is a truly unique destination on Poland’s tourist map — a revitalised pre-war seaside resort located right by the beach. Breathtaking views, some within the Słowiński National Park, the proximity of sea and forest, a cosy spa, and seasonal Polish cuisine all add to the charm of a place steeped in over a century of history.
Built in 1907, the castle — with its distinctive tower — has weathered much: fierce storms before the First World War, a vibrant interwar era as a bustling spa house, a wartime transformation into a Rocket Testing Station, and a post-war period of abandonment.
Later, the Ministry of Health turned the former spa house into "Bałtyk Health Resort," and eventually it became the Neptun Holiday Centre under the Workers’ Holiday Fund. By the 1990s, the site had fallen into disrepair — until it was lovingly restored by a private owner. Today, Zamek Łeba stands as a luxurious hotel, preserving the spirit of its past while offering comfort and elegance to modern-day travellers.
